| Abstract: | Masfit is a project that aims to use new technology to widen access to Catalan fish auctions, benefiting both buyers and sellers. At present, fishermen sell their catches in auction houses, and buyers are there in person to inspect and bid for fish. Masfit will give buyers remote access to several auctions at once, and permit them to bid in any of them without being physically present. They will be able to program intelligent agents with bidding strategies, so that their buying is carried out automatically according to certain criteria.
